Every year at the end of August, Pamplona
becomes the flamenco capital of the north of Spain, with the celebration of the "FLAMENCO ON FIRE" Festival
where the best talents in modern-day flamenco take centre stage.
For several days, the Navarran capital offers a wide selection of music, gastronomy, leisure and art events, becoming a central hub for great artists and fans alike.
This year, the festival will welcome Sara Baras, José Mercé y Tomatito, Ketama, Jorge Drexler and Rocío Márquez
among others. All of them will be visiting us to pay homage to the great master Sabicas, born in Pamplona in 1912 and considered to be one of the artists to revolutionise guitar technique, conquering the world with his art.
The festival will take place in different locations across the city: Baluarte
, Hotel Tres Reyes
. There will be various street performances from the balcony of the City Hall
and from a balcony on Mañueta Street
Of course it would not be complete without the gastronomic touch of "The Pincho of Sabicas"
, created by some of the city's finest caterers, and which can be enjoyed in the bars in the city's historical centre.
